Rosenthal Properties is one of Washington’s most reputable, fully integrated commercial real estate companies. Founded in 1999, our business focus has been on the acquisition, development, ownership and operation of investment-grade retail, office and industrial properties in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
Rosenthal Properties was founded by Glenn Rosenthal to focus on principal side investing after working as an institutional investment sales broker for over twenty years. During this period he was consistently recognized as one of the top commercial real estate brokers in Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. As a Washington, DC native, Mr. Rosenthal has extensive local market knowledge, which has been an essential part of his strategy of investing in “barriers-to-entry” markets.
As a result of his extensive market knowledge and credibility in the marketplace, Mr. Rosenthal has forged new joint venture relationships with both institutional equity investors and private investors to structure acquisitions that meet the needs of today’s investors. Rosenthal Properties is actively seeking to build new relationships and expand its portfolio.
Meet the Team
Glenn Rosenthal – Founder & President
Glenn has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience both as a principal and institutional sales broker. He has a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Maury DeFreitas – Senior Vice President & General Counsel
Maury has over 14 years of commercial real estate experience specifically in leasing and contractual matters. He was formerly an attorney at Hirschel, Savitz, Parker & Hollman located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Maury has his Juris Doctorate from Washington College of Law at American University and a Bachelors of Arts from James Madison University.
William Orlove – Vice President, Leasing
William has over 13 years of commercial retail leasing experience formerly with JBG Rosenfield and H&R Retail. He has his Juris Doctorate from Washington College of Law at American University, Masters of Law in Taxation from Georgetown University and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Nora Foley – Senior Leasing Associate
Nora has over 20 years of commercial retail leasing experience formerly with Trammell Crow and CBRE. She studied at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College.
Nicola Carleton – Senior Leasing Associate
Nicola has over 10 years of commercial retail leasing experience formerly with Trammell Crow. She has a Bachelors of Art in Business and Economics from Randolph Macon.
Jane Le – Leasing Associate
Jane has 3 years experience as commercial leasing agent with Rosenthal Realty. She has a Bachelors of Science from George Mason University.
Laurence McKenny – Vice President, Property & Construction Management
Laurence has over 5 years of commercial real estate experience. He was a former analyst at Spaulding & Slye Colliers in Washington D.C. Laurence has a Bachelors of Science in Economics from Washington & Lee University.
Gregory Jacobsen – Vice President, Acquisitions & Asset Management
Gregory has over 7 years of commercial real estate experience as an institutional sales broker and advisor formerly with Rockwood Realty and KPMG, LLP in New York. He has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech.
Maritoni Espejo – Controller
Maritoni has over 12 years of commercial real estate experience in accounting and financial management. She was formerly a controller with Tishman Speyer Properties and Lincoln Property Company. Maritoni has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from George Mason University.
Joseph Sitienei – Director of Lease Administration
Joseph has over 10 years of experience as a commercial real estate lease administrator. He was formerly with Federal Realty Investment Trust and Washington Real Estate Investment Trust. Joseph has a Masters of Arts in Human Resources from Bowie State and a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture from the University of Eastern Africa.
Kara Bake – Lease Administrator
Kara has over 7 years of real estate experience and 2 years of commercial real estate experience with Rosenthal Properties. She studied at Germanna Community College.
